Finally here is the next picture from the Azores. Hopefully I'll manage to post a little more frequent in the next time... This beautiful beach right underneath the local church is really close to Ponta Delgada in Sao Roque. Basically if you are driving the small roads along the coast, you cannot miss it. It was pretty empty when we were there, only a few people were there (and did not make it into the picture) even though the weather was beautiful.

Finally I had some time to care for the pictures from our vacation to the azores. I will start with one from dinner at a cool (and expensive) Jazzclub/restaurant in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel. What you can see really is the kitchen underneath the stage... :-)

Lady Orchid

Today I went to look for some orchids with my mother again, this time we actually found some. There were a lot of Orchis plants around, this ones are called Lady Orchids (German: Purpur Knabenkraut), if I remember correctly.

Small Yellow Flowers

I dont think this is such a good picture, but i do think that it is maybe telling a little about the life of a little yellow flower that is needing to fight against all that fast growing grass to get to the sun, and all that before those giant trees get their leaves on, needing to time it just right so it is not being too cold, just warm enough, maybe that some bees are around already... You get the idea... ;-)

Butterfly

Last weekend I went on a little walk through the wood with my mom to see if there is any orchids and other little spring flowers out yet. We did find some, and i think i might post some pictures of those too, but since Pablo from Round Here just posted a cool butterfly, I thought I could put this one up first :-)
I did see several other ones too, but they were always flying away long before i could focus on them (with my 50mm).

(edit:) somehow lightroom did not save the exif-data, i guess i had some wrong setting for that since i used version 1. Newwer pictures will have it again hopefully.

I was trying to catch a ball in motion for quite a while when playing pool last weekend, it is not that easy without a tripod. Fortunately my friends were patient with me. To me it seems like this shot was just luck. I still don't really know how I managed to focus on that one. Maybe 12 is just my lucky number ;-)
